With the upcoming release of Tomb Raider: Underworld, we have decided to use it as a single theme for our contest that will be running through March and April 2008. While Eidos has released a handful of Underworld images, we’ve seen quite a lot of fanwork related to Lara Croft’s newest game, so for this contest we’ll be accepting entries on the following categories: logos; hand drawings; renders; wallpapers; PC art; music; look-a-likes; videos; and stories.

Each entry will be receiving advice from our fanart jury, and when the contest ends all valid entries will receive a score. Obviously, members of our community will also be able to share their points of view and rate your artworks.

The highest ranking entries will receive a customized mouse mat, and win eternal recognition on our wall of fame. We will also feature a number of the artworks in our upcoming Tomb Raider Underworld: Fanguide. We are definitely looking forward to seeing your creativity. Good luck to all contestants!

You might have noticed that things look slightly different from the last time you were here. Today we set as default our new forum skin, based on the upcoming Tomb Raider: Underworld game. We still have a few minor tweaks to consider this a complete job, but since it’s fully functional and quite a few members were already using it, we decided to make it our default skin.

We have been working on it for quite a while, and we’re happy to share it with you at this point. You can let us know what you think of it, your likes and dislikes, as well as any possible issues you come across, by posting on this topic. Keep in mind it’s currently a beta version, but you can still help out by pointing what needs tweaking.

February 14th is a very special day for everyone because it is Valentine’s Day, but for all of us, Tomb Raider fans, it means even more than that: it’s also Lara Croft’s birthday! To celebrate this occasion, we’ve hosted a flash competition where every member was welcome to post a congratulation message to our lady. The names of the entrants were then put in a hat and a winner was drawn. The lucky winner for this competition was member lara4ever, and shortly she’ll be enjoying a Lara Croft resin figurine. Congratulations for our winner and a very happy birthday for our girl!

A few days back we’ve posted our exclusive story from our trip to Eidos when we attended the Press Conference where Tomb Raider: Underworld was unveiled. To your commodity, our team has put together a video montage to present you our report. During our trip to Eidos Interactive, we seized the opportunity to ask the producers several questions from our board members. While they weren’t in position to disclose more than what they already had, we managed to squeeze out some information. Unanswered questions will be asked again, in a next trip to Eidos, as well as a number of other questions we’ll start gathering in the near future.
